Veneer Roller (pt 1)

I've been sent another challenge by Ralph. The time between, "yeah, I can do that" and actually figuring it out can go from hours to days.
This is one of the ones that takes a few days.

On the right is my test piece for the frame of the roller. On the left is the final piece. Both are made from 304 stainless.

The first one is on top. As you can see, the bends on the lower one are tighter. I'm much happier with that.

Ralph is making his own handle. Left for me to make is the roller and axle. The roller will be 360 brass, 1.5" in diameter and 3" long. The axle will be 304 stainless steel. I've made the frame approximately 1/8" wider than the roller in order to fit thrust washers between the roller and frame.

This should be a really neat tool when it's done. I'm looking forward to finishing it up.
