For the manner in which men live is so different from the way in which they ought to live, that he who leaves the common course for that which he ought to follow will find that it leads him to ruin rather than safety.

Cooking

I said I'd pull out some cooking pictures...so here's a few.

Pizza! I make pizza almost weekly. I enjoy making the crust and trying to perfect it. This is a very simple pie: cream sauce, Italian sausage, fresh mozzarella and basil. Lately, I've been using pesto instead of cream sauce. I'm allergic to tomatoes, so I need alternate sauces. Some fresh basil on top rounds it off nicely.

Yorkshire pudding. Seriously, there is no other way to enjoy roast beef than with Yorkshire pudding.

Beef cobbler. This is a relatively new recipe for me, I've only made it twice. The biscuits are baked on top of the stew. It's one of my favorites now. There is gruyere cheese in the biscuit batter.

This is a simple but very tasty casserole that is on regular rotation in my kitchen. Rice, Italian sausage, zucchini, and cheese. Some bell peppers thrown in for good measure.

  1. The only thing I think I could get my family to try is the beef with biscuits. My wife will eat just about anything with cheese. Me, I'll come for dinner or lunch anytime.

    1. You should give beef cobbler a go! It is really good. Recipes for it are all over the interwebs. It became one of my favorites as soon as I tried it the first time.
